I'd love for you to start by introducing yourself, your company and high level, what do you create/offer to the community?
I’m Jenn, my company is Flamazing JP, I create custom jewelry like earrings and custom stamp bracelets.
How did you get to where you are today with your business?
I started out just making earrings for fun for myself and friends. Then, during COVID I realized I had a lot of jewelry making stuff and thought I could possibly sell it to the community. Which led me to the Lake Speer Sidewalk market which allowed me to set up at my first market and I’ve kept growing ever since!
Has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you have had to overcome?
It has been pretty easy so far other than the fact that there’s been a learning curve about what I need to do to actually run a business.
What do you think sets you apart from others?
I like to get to know my clients and make something specific to them or the person they’re giving the item to so that it can always be there as a reminder or little boost they may need, and they’ll always remember who It’s from, like a wearable greeting card.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I do gymnastics!
What village do you live in?
I live in Bridgewater!
What do you love about Horizon West?
I love the community as a whole and the things available like the trails and I love watching it grow and seeing things come to fruition.
What are your hopes for it as it continues to build out over the next 5-10 years?
I hope that even once it is more built out that we can still keep the sense of community and small-town feel.
Marketing can be expensive and without the power of a franchise or corporation behind them, mom & pop sized local entrepreneurs depend on locals loving on them! Please take a moment to connect with Lake Speer Sidewalk Market (evolving soon to Created in HW) on social and you'll be sure to have future event info show up in your feed so you can come out and support them in person in addition to here on virtual Main Street!
